Agri-Food Immigration Pilot

The Agri-Food pilot basically addresses the labour requirements of Canadian agri-food sector. This type of visa provides opportunity to permanent residence for experienced, non-seasonal workers in identified industries and occupations. For the purpose of qualifying for the pilot program, the candidate must meet the requirement of eligible work experience and should have a valid job offer from Canadian employer.

The Agri-Food Immigration Pilot is one of a number of pilots operated by the federal government. Others include the Atlantic Immigration Pilot and the Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot.

Permanent Residence under the Agri-Food Pilot can be applied upon fulfilment of following:

  • Canadian work experience in one or more industries and occupations:
  • A minimum of 1 year of non-seasonal, full-time work in the past 3 years
  • In 1 or more of the eligible occupations listed under 1 of the eligible industries through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.
