Agri-Food Immigration Pilot

The Agri-Food pilot basically addresses the labour requirements of Canadian agri-food sector. This type of visa provides opportunity to permanent residence for experienced, non-seasonal workers in identified industries and occupations. For the purpose of qualifying for the agri food pilot program, the candidate must meet the requirement of eligible work experience and should have a valid job offer from Canadian employer.

The Agri-Food Immigration Pilot is one of a number of pilots operated by the federal government. Others include the Atlantic Immigration Pilot and the Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot.

Permanent Residence under the Agri-Food Pilot Program can be applied upon fulfilment of following:

  • Canadian work experience in one or more industries and occupations:
  • A minimum of 1 year of non-seasonal, full-time work in the past 3 years
  • In 1 or more of the eligible occupations listed under 1 of the eligible industries through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.
